My 
Story

​My name is Alexandra. Originally from Russia, though I’ve called Switzerland home since I was 12 years old before moving to London which is still my favourite city, despite its hectic pace. 

Growing up in an international community surrounded by nature, I had the privilege of exploring a wide range of sports and physical activities. Movement was always at the heart of what I do and love.

University was tough. I lost my spark and was running on an empty tank. I didn’t know why I was tired all the time. I didn’t know how to properly fuel my body, how to take rest and how to look after my mental and physical capacity. I thought I just had to work harder. But then I failed a semester. And again.

Breaking point came when my relationship ended. I was lost and completely defeated. But that was a turning point for me. I needed to bring more joy into my life and it had to start from within. 

So I found some online yoga videos. “10-min morning sequence”. I started small. But every morning I dedicated that time to myself on the mat. It became my ritual. My safe space. A moment only for myself when I could truly connect with my body and my mind and be honest with myself how I was. And I started to feel more joy again. I felt more purpose by allowing myself those few moments every morning. I knew that it made me feel good, so I wanted to do it more often. So to ensure that I had enough time in the morning, I woke up 10min earlier. And that meant that I would need to make sure I go to bed a little earlier, and that caused a chain reaction…​​

In 2021, I completed my 200-hour Vinyasa-Ashtanga teacher training in Bali at Yoga Union with Himanshu Bahuguna and Faye Balomenou. That month in Ubud was nothing short of transformative. It pushed me beyond my mental and physical limits, deepening my connection to my body, mind, and soul in ways I never imagined. I began to understand the true joy of creation—creating a practice that nurtures, uplifts, and connects.

Now, as a registered Yoga Alliance teacher, I continue to explore and expand my understanding of yoga through workshops and training, such as skilful sequencing with Adam Husler, assists and adjustments with Elodie Frati, and Soma with Faye Balomenou. Every step of this journey has fuelled my passion for making yoga accessible and welcoming to all bodies, at any stage of their practice, allowing you to find a moment of peace and balance in the everyday hustle of life. Exploring and expanding your connection with yourself.

Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or a complete beginner, it would be my honour to share this with you. My mission is simple: to create a safe, supportive space where you can connect with your body, explore where your mind takes you, and find joy and strength in every movement.
